Sometimes you get what you pay for - Low Budget, High ExpectationsToo many entrepreneurs want a Hummer website for a Hyundai price…

It starts with “How much for a small/basic website” then quickly turns into “I thought you were going to write my bio, select stock photos, categorize my portfolio images, design a flier, manage my Google Business account, answer aaaaalll of my questions, aaaaand…”

The reality is, no mater how “Easy” AI or some other “WYSIWYG” website generator may appear to build an online presence, you the owner, still have a great deal of work to do. Even if you’re looking for 1 landing page with:

  • 1 static image
  • 1 logo
  • 1 color (background or foreground)
  • 1 phone number
  • 1 call to action message
  • 1 contact form
  • 1 key word
  • 1 payment system
  • 1 admin user

You’ll still have to create a strategy on what happens when someone comes along. Do they:

  • Buy something
  • Register for something
  • Download something
  • Subscribe for something
  • Learn about something
  • Invest/donate for something
  • Contribute ideas and comments about something
  • Listen to a recording about something
  • Watch an Instructional video about something
  • Upload something
  • Pay you for something
  • Refer you to others about something
  • Come back anticipating something new

The list goes on. Of course there are many applications to enable even the non-technically inclined user to create a web presence independently and for cheap. However, just as I can change my motor oil, brakes and spark plugs, there’s a bunch of things I’d rather spend my time and energy towards that will help grow my business. In short, it is best to create a budget to accommodate three primary elements towards getting started:

  1. Strategic Planning
  2. Content Creation
  3. Optimization & Social Connectivity

Most of which should be addressed in the simplest of business plans. Your website should be an extension of your day-to-day administration, helping you work smarter not harder.

At zMarketing & Designs, we move as fast as you are prepared and even faster if the project is well funded and planned accordingly.
