Artist Bio

Katiana Smith’s upbringing was heavily influenced by her Haitian culture, so much so that her second language is English. Her identity is deeply rooted in her culture and influences her professionally and personally.

She received training from New World School of the Arts and a Magnet program in middle school but, despite her love for art, only recently began painting again. It was Smith’s passions for culture and art that led her back to painting. An emerging artist, she has done live paintings and exhibited locally in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

Smith is currently involved in community initiatives seeking to incorporate art that represents South Florida’s diverse demographic. She currently works out of her home studio in Palm beach.
