The next time you’re watching tv, turn off the sound when the commercial comes on and simply observe the presentation. The lesson here is to decode the messaging which reflects the interests of the audience watching the program. Make note of the products and services offered especially during the weekend infomercials. The formula is as follows, they start by identifying a problem then introduce the product followed by a testimonial and conclude with the call to action.
On average you’ll find that most brand names will circulate at least 3-different campaigns of the same product/service across multiple channels. You would think that everyone in the world is familiar with Coka Cola however, you can count on seeing an ad in print, a product placement in the movies, and of course in between television programs. The moment they stop advertising is the moment a new product has been waiting for the opportunity to get in front of a new audience while the giant is sleeping. You should have the same perspective about selecting the right social media channel to reach a greater audience and drive traffic back to your main site.
